Save a client once, and every project they're on shows on their record. Save a subcontractor once, with their trade and insurance expiry. Put them on any project in a couple of taps. Insurance dates flag themselves as they come up. Tick a subcontractor off as paid per project — being paid on one project says nothing about another.

Price it the way you actually quote, not the way software assumes you should.

By line item with a markup on top. Or one flat number for the whole project. Or square footage times a rate you enter. A price you say out loud during a walkthrough fills these in for you. Whichever you pick becomes the contract total everywhere else. Payments, Change Orders and Invoices all read the same number, so any two figures shown together always agree.

Add each payment with its own due date and tick it off when it lands. Contract, received and balance show on the project, on the Projects list and on the invoice. The three always agree. A project closed more than thirty days with money still owing flags itself as overdue.

Scope changes, priced and signed off — not just remembered.

Log what changed and what it costs, as a charge or a credit. Tick it off once the client has actually approved it. Only approved ones move the contract total. An unapproved change sits on the record without quietly repricing the project.

What's ordered, what's landed, what got called off.

Every material on a project, with its supplier, quantity and expected delivery date. Tick one off when it arrives. Cancel one that got called off and it stays on the record, struck through and out of the pending count. It never vanishes as if it was never ordered. Anything still pending shows on Today, next to your tasks, once its delivery date arrives. A slab running three days late is as visible as a late task.

Client emails and subcontractor scopes, each in the voice that fits them.

For a client: weekly status, a schedule change, something that needs their decision, a delay, or wrapping up. Direct, no filler, written from what's on the project. For a subcontractor it's a different voice entirely — plain and trade to trade. It pulls the cost items tagged with that subcontractor's trade. A tiler gets the tile scope, not the whole project. Nothing is attached unless you tick it. Subcontractors never see pricing. You edit before anything goes. Nothing sends itself.

Say it once, while you're standing in the room.

Walk a property and describe it out loud, using your phone keyboard's own dictation. No special permissions, no separate recording step. Go room by room, in the order you walk them. If an area name is already there, it asks whether to add to it or keep it separate. It never guesses.

The numbers that decide the project, kept as data.

Room sizes, ceiling heights, window openings and runs of wall come out of what you said. They land under the right area. Not buried in a note. Photograph a tape measure, a laser display or a measurement scribbled on paper, and that reading goes in too. Anything read unclearly comes back flagged. You can't save the scope until you confirm or correct it. A wrong dimension that looks confident is the one nobody catches later.

Quote while you walk — and fix what dictation got wrong, months on.

Say "eighty five a foot on the cabinets" and that becomes the line's unit price. Say "that repair, four hundred flat" and it stays four hundred. It is never divided into a rate that no longer multiplies back. Say a price for the whole project, flat or per square foot. That sets the project's quote instead of becoming a line. Nothing is ever guessed. A walkthrough with no prices in it produces no prices. What you said is kept on the project, word for word, area by area. Fix a misheard measurement or room name months later and re-run the summary to rebuild the scope from your correction. It replaces only what that recording produced. It never touches anything you typed yourself, and it tells you what it's about to change first.

Attach photos to a project or a task and open any of them full screen. Pick which ones go out with a drafted client update or subcontractor brief. The app remembers who has already seen each one. A photo attached during a walkthrough is read for measurements as well as kept. Each account has a large but limited amount of photo storage. We tell you how full it is well before you get there, rather than failing an upload with no warning. The free trial includes 20 photos; more open with your first payment. One file with every project, client and subcontractor. Measurements, materials, what was said on each walkthrough, and which subcontractors you've paid all travel with it. Loading one back in never merges. A name you already have becomes a question. Replace it, keep the one you have, or keep both. Everything else in the file is added. You see exactly what will change before a single row is written. Your photos, payment receipts and email notes travel in the file too. Loading one back in adds the ones you don't have and never replaces or removes one. Downloading a copy works on any plan, once you've paid once. Loading one back in works on any plan, on the same condition. You can also send chosen projects as a file for a subcontractor. It has scope items, tasks and the materials list with delivery status. Every page, button and label switches language from the nav, per person. Your dashboard being in English doesn't decide what your foreman sees. Project notes, task titles and cost lines written in one language are translated for whoever is reading them. What you wrote never changes. Dictate a walkthrough in any of the three and the scope comes back in the language you work in.

Two-factor, password recovery, and sessions that actually end.

Turn on an authenticator app from Settings. Scan a QR code, confirm one code, done. It's off until you turn it on. It only finishes once a real code has been accepted, so a half-done setup can never lock you out. Turning it on gives you ten recovery codes, shown once and never again. Each works once. They are the way back in if that phone is lost. Settings shows how many are left, so you can make a fresh set before you run out. Forgotten your password? Enter your email on the login screen and we send a reset link. No support ticket, no waiting on us. The link works once and expires in twenty minutes. Using it signs out every other session. So does turning two-factor on or off, and so does changing your email.
