Terms of Service

1. Who this agreement is between

These Terms govern use of Scope Flow (the "Service"), operated by Scope Flow ("we," "us"). By creating an account, you ("Customer," "you") agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the business you represent.

2. What the Service does

Scope Flow is a job-tracking tool for remodeling contractors: job records, tasks, client contacts, cost estimates, payment tracking, change orders, and AI-assisted drafting of client and subcontractor communications. You are responsible for reviewing anything AI-drafted before sending it — the Service assists your communication, it does not replace your judgment about what's accurate for a given job.

3. Your account and data

  • You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • You own the data you enter (jobs, clients, costs, and so on). We don't sell it, and we don't use it to train AI models.
  • You're responsible for having a lawful basis to store the personal information of your own clients and subcontractors that you enter into the Service.

4. Subscription and billing

  • Plans and pricing are listed on our Pricing page and may change with notice.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled.
  • You can cancel any time from your account. If you've been billed once, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access through what you already paid for, with no partial refunds. If you cancel during the free trial before ever being billed, access ends immediately rather than continuing through the trial's remaining days.
  • Free trial: 14 days free on either plan, no card required to start. If no payment method is added by the end of the trial, no paid subscription starts and the trial does not convert — the account locks instead. Nothing is deleted: your jobs, clients, subcontractors and everything else stay exactly as they are, and choosing a plan opens the account again. This is the same outcome as cancelling, described in Section 9.
  • The Service is currently available only to customers who subscribe using a payment card issued by a US bank. This is checked automatically against the card's own issuing country, not against the billing address you type in, both when you subscribe and if you ever update your card afterward. If a payment method is found to be non-US-issued, we cancel the subscription, refund the payment in full, and restrict further access to paid features — automatically, not as a manual review.

5. Acceptable use

You won't use the Service to store or transmit unlawful content, attempt to breach its security, resell access without our agreement, or use it in a way that could disrupt service for other customers.

6. AI-generated content

Drafted emails, scope summaries, and similar AI output are suggestions based on the information you provide. We do not guarantee their accuracy, and you are solely responsible for reviewing and editing them before sending to any client, subcontractor, or third party. Never send AI-drafted content you have not personally reviewed.

7. Availability and support

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We do not currently offer a formal uptime SLA or service credits.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost business, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or unlawful use. You may cancel your subscription at any time without losing your data — cancellation locks access rather than deleting anything, until you reactivate or delete the account yourself. Deleting your account (from Settings, or requested from us) removes your job, client, and sub data immediately; the underlying account and billing records are kept for 30 days afterward for our own recordkeeping before being permanently purged, not as a window for you to retrieve anything.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice before they take effect.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
